Life is a journey. We are born, go to school, start a career, marry, have children, and attempt to leave a legacy for our family. All of our journeys are different. For some the education journey ends with High School, for others it extends into graduate school. Some have a career in one field their entire working life, others have multiple careers. Some choose to marry and have children, while others may remain single their entire lives. There are two pieces of every journey that exists for everyone. All journeys have a beginning and all journeys have an ending.
Our faith is a journey as well. We learn about God, we accept Christ and his saving work on the cross, we grow in our faith, and hopefully, we share that faith with others. Not all faith journeys are the same either. Some are what are referred to as “cradle-roll Baptists” who were enrolled in Sunday School prior to being born and have stayed active in the Church since then. Others come to the faith while in school or even later in life. Some stay in the faith regularly attending church throughout their life, others drift away only to return later. During this season of Advent, the Man Up Crew invites you to join us as we explore four journeys of faith from scripture. How that faith evolved for the individuals and how that faith impacted their lives and the rest of the world.
